Running steam, there is a tool called Dedicated server, which hosts for Counter-Strike 1.6, Team Fortress Classic, Day of Defeat, Deathmatch Classic, Ricochet, Half-Life, and Condition Zero.

Now, I'll show you how to make your dedicated server work for Counter-Strike 1.6 (it won't work as default):

1. Copy the file "steam_appid.txt" file from your Counter-Strike/cstrike folder:

2. Next, paste in in your Dedicated Server/cstrike folder:

3. And finally, create your server. Then, changelevel once.

Note: If your IP is 190.168.x.x, you will need to port-forward before hosting your server.
